Mohammad Ali – Afghanistan

I’m 8 years old and I have passed the first grade with good result. My favorite topic is mathematics and I want to be an engineer when I grow up.

My dad is not able to work as before because of a spinal injury he has got working and lifting heavy weights. He tries though to work part time to provide for the family. I have four sisters and two brothers. My youngest sister is only six month old that’s why my mom is not able to work outside, but she does some handcrafts when she has time to earn some money for the family.

Our home consists of two small rooms and a corridor where we use as kitchen. There is no warm water supply where we live so only have cold water. We use the corner of the corridor for cooking. We bake our own bread as we can’t afford buying it. We live the most basic life, your contribution will make life a bit easier for us.
